Jayprasad Hegde

Jayprasad Hegde is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in Data Science, AI, and engineering across multiple sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Data Science and AI Initiatives at the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Jayprasad is focused on developing a scalable Data Science and AI stack for a billion people. Previously, as Co-Founder of Newgallifrey Solutions, Jayprasad provided engineering leadership to startups, and as Vice President Engineering at Reverie Language Technologies, Jayprasad advanced multiple projects in Indian language processing. With roles at major firms like Pitney Bowes, Jio, HERE, and a strong foundation in AI research at C-DAC, Jayprasad has a proven track record of leading innovative technology initiatives and teams. Jayprasad holds advanced degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and the National Centre for Software Technology, along with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai.
