Leslie Boggs has extensive experience in leadership roles, having held positions in various organizations throughout their career. Leslie served as the President of CarrellBoggs Consulting since 2016. In 2019, they became the President of the National PTA. Prior to these roles, Boggs worked as a Transition Specialist at Western Controls, Relevant Solutions from 2015 to 2016, where they managed the transition of Texas and New Mexico offices. Leslie also received Nonprofit Management certification from ACC Certification for NonProfit Leadership and Development in 2016. From 2010 to 2016, Boggs held multiple leadership positions at the Texas Congress of Parents & Teachers (Texas PTA), including President, First Vice President, and Second Vice President. Before that, they served as the President of Western Controls Company New Mexico, Inc. from 1985 to 2015. Boggs started their career at Western Controls in 1973 and worked their way up to become the President and later the Vice President of Western Controls Co., Inc. from 1974 to 2010. Leslie also served as the President of New Mexico PTA from 2003 to 2005.
Leslie Boggs has a diverse education history. In 1973, Leslie attended Odessa College, where they obtained an Associates degree with a focus on Accounting and Business. During the same period, they also attended Bauder Fashion College and earned an Associate's degree in Fashion and Interior Design. In more recent years, from 2015 to 2016, Leslie attended both Austin Community College and The University of Texas Permian Basin. At Austin Community College, they completed a Certificate of Nonprofit Leadership and Management, with a specialization in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. At The University of Texas Permian Basin, Leslie was working towards a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In addition to their formal education, Leslie has also obtained certifications. These include DISC certification from Personality Insights, Inc., John Maxwell Team Mentor certification from The John Maxwell Team, and a certification in Nonprofit & Leadership Management from Austin Community College.
