Advertising Copywriter (hybrid)

Location: Saint John, New Brunswick preferred. Halifax, Nova Scotia will also be considered  

The Role: As a copywriter on our team, you'll be instrumental in shaping the voice of our clients' brands. You will create original content and adapt existing materials to appeal to both English and French-speaking markets. Your words will inform, engage, and inspire action across a variety of advertising mediums. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop creative copy for advertising campaigns, including but not limited to digital, print, social media, and broadcast. 
  • Work collaboratively with the creative team to conceptualize and execute ideas. 
  • Translate and adapt English copy into French (and vice versa), ensuring the tone, style, and nuances are culturally relevant. 
  • Proofread and edit copy to maintain high-quality standards. 
  • Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of all copywriting assignments. 
  • Stay current with language trends and consumer insights to keep our content fresh and effective. 

Qualifications: 

  • 5-7 years of experience as a copywriter in an advertising agency (but if you’ve got the chops, we’re still interested no matter your number). 
  • A bilingual candidate (French and English) is ideal, but not essential. 
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your copywriting skills across a variety of platforms. 
  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field is preferred. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
