Gary Arpin

Director, Communications Skills Training, National PR at NATIONAL Public Relations

Gary Arpin has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and media. Gary started their career as an Anchor/Reporter at Radio-Canada in 1989 and worked there until 1995. Gary then joined Global Television as a Reporter/Anchor from 1997 to 2000. After that, they worked at TQS as a Journalist/Anchor/Assignment Editor and Line-up Editor. Gary was also a Parliamentary Correspondent in Ottawa. In 2002, they became a Professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal and taught there until 2007. From 2000 to 2007, they also worked as a Senior Consultant at Le Cabinet de relations publiques NATIONAL, where they specialized in media relations, media training, and crisis management. In 2017, they joined the Université de Montréal as a Professor. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Communications Skills Training at NATIONAL PR.

Gary Arpin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from McGill University, completed in 1982. Gary also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal, and later completed coursework for a Master of Arts degree in Communication at the same institution.
