National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC)
Narendra Acharya is a superconducting qubit physicist at the National Quantum Computing Centre since December 2024. Prior to this role, Acharya worked as a nanofab engineer at Oxford Quantum Circuits from January 2021 to December 2024, focusing on the design and fabrication of superconducting qubits and Josephson Parametric Amplifiers. Acharya's research experience includes a postdoctoral position at Chalmers University of Technology, where work involved the design and development of MgB2 based superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors, as well as RF and optical device setups. Earlier, Acharya served as a graduate research assistant at Temple University, contributing to materials science and the study of superconducting thin films. Acharya also has lectured on modern and solid-state physics and held a position as a production/supply manager overseeing quality control and production scheduling at TSN Plastcare Industries. Acharya holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Temple University and a master's degree in Physics. Additionally, Acharya completed a bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, and Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University.
