Chao Wu is a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since March 2018, serving as Researcher III and previously as Postdoctoral Researcher. Chao Wu developed PathParser, a computational tool for analyzing thermodynamics, enzyme cost, and metabolic robustness of metabolic pathways. Additionally, Chao Wu proposed an Adjacency Matrix-based Elementary Metabolite Unit algorithm for efficient decomposition of metabolic networks. Prior to this, Chao Wu worked as a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer at Megagenomics from January 2016 to February 2018, where expertise was applied in creating automated pipelines for bioinformatic analysis of various sequencing data. Chao Wu holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology from Tsinghua University, obtained in 2015.
