Sarah Meehan has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Sarah started their career as a staff writer at The Diamondback, where they covered student life and health. Sarah later became an assistant news editor at the same publication, overseeing page production and editing. Sarah also worked as a reporter for Capital News Service, covering environmental issues and the Chesapeake Bay. Sarah then interned at USA TODAY before joining the Baltimore Business Journal as a staff writer, reporting on various topics such as minority businesses, retail, and tourism. Sarah created multimedia content and managed social media accounts for the paper. Sarah then transitioned to The Baltimore Sun, where they reported on health and breaking news. As a reporter, they covered research from Baltimore's medical institutions and urgent public health matters. Sarah also worked as a senior content writer and project manager at 2U, managing editorial projects and producing content for partner universities and websites. Sarah taught yoga classes at YogaSix, focusing on vinyasa-based sequences. Most recently, they served as an editor and mentor at Youthcast Media Group, teaching workshops and mentoring high school journalists on topics such as climate change and mental health. Currently, Sarah is the Communications Lead at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
