Sarah Mendenhall has a diverse work experience in various industries. Sarah most recently worked at National Review as a Marketing & Growth Strategy Director starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they also held the same role at National Review from July 2020 to December 2021. Sarah has experience in government affairs, having worked at Chevron as a Planning + Communications Specialist for State Government Affairs from December 2018 to July 2019. Sarah also has public affairs experience from their time at the U.S. Coast Guard as a Public Affairs Specialist from May 2014 to December 2018. In this role, they were responsible for campaign strategy and execution, crisis communication, and stakeholder/issues management. Sarah has also worked as an Account Manager at Enaxis Consulting in the oil & gas industry from April 2012 to January 2014, where they successfully grew an account from $3 million to $6.6 million. Additionally, they worked as a Public Relations Coordinator at Moody Gardens, where they developed publicity campaigns, served as a company spokesperson, and generated $50 million in publicity value in 12 months. Sarah's earlier work experience includes roles as a Community Relations Coordinator at VN Teamwork and as a Content Management Specialist at Domain Dev.
Sarah Mendenhall completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at The University of Texas at Austin from 2005 to 2009. Sarah pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science in Communication and Media Studies from Purdue University, studying from 2017 to 2019. In addition to their degrees, Sarah also obtained a Change Leadership Certificate from Cornell University in November 2018.
