Robert Hines

Robert Hines has a diverse work experience in the textile industry. Robert worked as the Director Research and Development at National Safety Apparel since June 2016. Prior to that, they served as the VP Product Development at DRIFIRE since January 2008. Robert also held roles as Director Manufacturing and Technical Director at Johnston Textiles from January 2005 to December 2007. Before that, they worked as a Technical Training Manager at Burlington Industries from 2000 to 2003.

Robert Hines has a strong educational background in textile technology and business. Robert obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Textile Technology from the Institute of Textile Technology, where they studied from 1990 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, attending from 1985 to 1989. Their secondary education consists of attending Lincolnton High School from 1980 to 1985. Robert has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include a certification in Supplier Management from Rutgers the State University of New Jersey, which they obtained in June 2023. In September 2021, they completed the Entrepreneurship 1: Developing the Opportunity program offered by Wharton Online. Additionally, they earned an Associate of The Textile Institute (CText ATI) from The Textile Institute in July 2021. Finally, Robert obtained a certification in Technology Entrepreneurship: Lab to Market from HarvardX in July 2021.
