Daniela Seabra Oliveira

Daniela Seabra Oliveira serves as the Lead Program Director for Security, Privacy, and Trust in Cyberspace at the National Science Foundation (NSF) since March 2021, overseeing a team of 15 and managing an $85 million portfolio of over 1,000 research awards in cybersecurity and AI security. Previously, Daniela held various roles at the University of Florida, culminating in a professorship where impactful multi-university projects in cybersecurity secured over $10 million in funding. Prior experience includes positions as Associate Professor at Bowdoin College, where a NSF CAREER Award was received, and a Cybersecurity Research Intern at Microsoft, contributing to critical discoveries in obfuscation and malware. Earlier career as Technical Project Manager at Synergia involved leading a team to develop an automated financial transaction verification system. Daniela's academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Systems Security from the University of California, Davis, along with a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
