Ed Chinchoy

National Sbir/sttr Medical Device Program Director at National Science Foundation

Ed Chinchoy currently serves as the National SBIR/STTR Medical Device Program Director at the National Science Foundation (NSF) since 2021. Chinchoy founded 3VOMedical from 2019 to 2021 and previously held the position of Executive Vice President at VisCardia from 2015 to 2019. In 2014, Chinchoy worked as a management consultant at T2C | Top Tier Consulting, focusing on life science products and services. Prior experience includes a role in global marketing at Abbott from 2008 to 2014, overseeing the $2.2 billion implantable electronics systems business unit, and positions at Optum and Medtronic, where responsibilities included disease management program P&L and global product planning. Chinchoy holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, an MS in Mechanical Engineering, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
