Katie Antypas

Katie Antypas currently serves as the Director of the Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure at the National Science Foundation since July 2023. Prior to this role, Katie held various key positions at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center, including NERSC-10 Project Director, where leadership included deploying advanced systems for scientific discovery. Katie’s extensive experience also encompasses roles such as Director of Hardware and Integration for the Exascale Computing Project and NERSC Division Deputy, contributing to strategic initiatives and system upgrades. With a background in high-performance computing, data science, and user support, Katie has ensured substantial advancements in computing capabilities. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Physics with a minor in Economics from Wellesley College.
