Kendra Sharp serves as a Bureau Member at the Global Science Forum within the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development since January 2024 and is a Governing Board Member at the U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation since April 2021. Currently, Kendra Sharp holds the position of Head of the Office of International Science and Engineering at the National Science Foundation and has been a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Oregon State University since January 2010, where additional roles include Associate Vice Provost of Faculty Development and Senior Advisor for Global Affairs. Kendra Sharp has also been a Visiting Erskine Fellow at the University of Canterbury on two occasions, contributing to the Global Humanitarian Engineering Program. Kendra Sharp's previous academic positions include Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Penn State University from 2002 to 2009. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
