Eric J. Pyle has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Eric J. began their career as a Science Teacher and Department Head at Monroe High School from 1986 to 1992. Eric J. then moved on to roles at the University of Georgia as a Research Assistant from 1992 to 1995, followed by West Virginia University as an Associate Professor from 1995 to 2004, where they focused on science teacher preparation. In 2005, they joined James Madison University as a Professor. More recently, they held leadership positions at the National Science Teaching Association, serving as President-Elect from 2020 to 2021, President from 2021 to 2022, Retiring President from 2022 to 2023, and currently as Immediate Past President from 2023 to 2024.
