Manoj Sarangi

Manoj Sarangi has extensive work experience in the field of information security and privacy. Manoj began their career in 1995 as a Scientist C in the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Government of India, where they focused on internet services. Manoj then worked as an IS Lead at Hewlett-Packard from 2001 to 2005. After that, they served as the Chief Privacy and Security Officer for IBM in India & South Asia from 2005 to 2009. Following their time at IBM, Manoj worked as a Director at Deloitte from 2009 to 2010. Manoj also served as a Member of the Certification Advisory Board at IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals from 2008 to 2009. From 2010 to 2013, Manoj held the position of AVP and CISO at Aditya Birla Group. Manoj then joined HCL Technologies as Vice President and CISO from 2013 to 2016. Currently, they are working at National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) as Senior Vice President (CISO) since December 2016.

Manoj Sarangi has an M Tech degree in Computer Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya. Manoj also holds a B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Manoj has additional certifications including CISA (from ISACA), CISSP (from (ISC)²), and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals).
