Padmaja Chunduru is the Managing Director & CEO at National Securities Depository. Padmaja has over 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry.

Padmaja started their career with State Bank of India in October 2008 as the Deputy General Manager of the Mid-Corporate Group. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating and executing tactical initiatives in strengthening corporate relationships and managing risk through enhanced credit supervision/asset quality.

In October 2012, Padmaja was promoted to General Manager of the Corporate Accounts Group. In this role, they were responsible for establishing and managing relationships with large Indian conglomerates.

In September 2017, Padmaja was promoted to Dy. MD of Global Markets and Digital Banking. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing the digital banking strategy for State Bank of India.

In September 2018, Padmaja left State Bank of India to join Indian Bank as the MD & CEO. Padmaja successfully steered the merger of Allahabad Bank into Indian Bank amid Covid challenges. With this merger, Indian Bank doubled in Balance Sheet size and net work and today is among the top 10 banks in the country, with 6000 branches, more than 40000 employees and business of more than Rs.8.5 tn.

Padmaja Chunduru has a Master's Degree in Business/Commerce, Banking from Andhra University College of Commerce and a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce from Nizam College, Hyderabad.

Rakesh Mehta - Vice President, Rahul Pratap Singh - Vice President, and Amit Jindal - Senior Vice President report to Padmaja Chunduru.
