Andrea Castaneda

Senator at National Society of Black Engineers

Andrea Castaneda has extensive experience in leadership roles, including as a Senator for the National Society of Black Engineers where Andrea managed a mentorship program and represented their university chapter. As the T.O.R.C.H Chair, Andrea organized outreach programs to combat homelessness and food insecurity. During their time as a Facilities Engineering Intern at Terracon, Andrea evaluated mechanical equipment installations and assessed existing commercial properties. Additionally, Andrea facilitated thermodynamics workshops as an Assistant Facilitator at the University of Houston and gained customer service skills as a Front Desk Assistant. Andrea is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston.
