Jennifer Knight

Jennifer Knight is currently a board member at National Spinning. Jennifer has also served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Textiles, Consumer Goods & Materials at the International Trade Administration in the Department of Commerce, and as President & COO of American Woolen Company.

Jennifer was recruited by a closely held investment group to serve as the operating partner and board member of the startup American Woolen Company. In their role, they led the strategy and day-to-day operations of the 600,000 sq. ft. textile mill and its 80 employees. Jennifer was responsible for the development and operation of complex textile business and development of various product lines. During their tenure, they developed the external sales force, the e-commerce capabilities, product development, and marketing functions. Jennifer also worked directly with key customers, including J Crew, Timberland, Brooks Brothers, Woolrich, and The North Face.

Jennifer initiated lean manufacturing and improved quality and sustainability practices throughout the company. In November 2017, they led the launch of American Woolen Company Luxury Products Group, a collection of premium outerwear and accessories for men. The collection is sold online and through private sales.

Prior to their work at American Woolen Company, Jennifer was a Partner at Newport Board Group. Jennifer also founded and served as CEO of GetawayStyle.

Jennifer Knight has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.A. in Religious Studies from Brown University.
