Casey Blaine

Deputy General Counsel at National Transportation Safety Board

Casey Blaine is the current Deputy General Counsel at the National Transportation Safety Board. Prior to their current position, they served as the Acting General Counsel at the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board from October 2011 to September 2019. Casey also participated in the “Excellence in Government Fellows Program” as part of their work with the Partnership for Public Service from October 2016 to August 2017.

Blaine has dedicated their career to public service and is passionate about solving challenges within the Federal government. As part of the Fellows Program, they and their team developed a supervisory detail matching program which has been accepted for implementation by the Environmental Protection Agency. The program is currently under consideration by the Department of Defense.

Blaine is a highly effective leader with a proven track record of driving innovation and delivering results. Casey is committed to improving the lives of those they serve and will continue to make a positive impact in the Federal government.

Casey Blaine has a B.A. in English from Virginia Tech and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Casey Blaine works with Brian Oszakiewski - Director, Marvin Frantz - Operational Factors Division Chief, and Christopher Blumberg - Deputy Director, Office of Administration. Casey Blaine reports to Sharon Bryson, Managing Director.
