Dr. Anne L. Garcia

Dr. Anne L. Garcia currently serves as a Human Performance and System Safety Psychologist at the National Transportation Safety Board since October 2016. Concurrently, Dr. Garcia holds positions as Vice Chair and Board Member of the Caroline County Social Services Board, and as an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of System Safety. Additionally, Dr. Garcia co-chairs the Safety Management and Human Factors Scientific Advisory Board for the International Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics Conference. Experience includes roles in the Caroline County Virginia Government, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and the Federal Aviation Administration, alongside a background in military family counseling with the American Red Cross. Dr. Garcia possesses a Doctorate in Liberal Studies from Georgetown University with a focus on Psychology and Philosophy, an MA in Human Factors Psychology from The Catholic University of America, and a BA in Philosophy from Villanova University.
