Elizabeth Hansen Shapiro

Elizabeth Hansen Shapiro is the CEO of National Trust for Local News. Elizabeth was previously a Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Shorenstein Center for Media, Politics, and Public Policy, and a Fellow at Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. Elizabeth also worked as an Analyst at Tow Center for Digital Journalism and CFAR. Shapiro has dedicated their career to studying and supporting local news organizations.

Elizabeth Hansen Shapiro has a PhD in Organizational Behavior and Sociology from Harvard Business School. Elizabeth also has a Master of Arts in Sociology from Harvard University. Her undergraduate degree is in Latin from Swarthmore College.
