Sarah Mayfield

Sarah Mayfield is an accomplished conservation professional with extensive experience in historic building fabric advice and conservation consulting. Currently serving as Senior National Conservator for Stone and Plaster at the National Trust since December 2022, Sarah also operates Mayfield Heritage Ltd as Managing Director, focusing on conservation surveys and historic building advisory services. With a background that includes significant projects, such as the Elizabethan plaster survey for Savills Estates and mitigation surveys for the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade, Sarah has contributed to numerous high-profile conservation efforts. Education includes an MSc in Building Conservation from Bournemouth University and a BA in Technical Arts Interpretation from Wimbledon School of Art, along with several other qualifications in the field. Sarah's research in digital assessment and monitoring of historic ceilings further underscores a commitment to advancing conservation practices.
