Lauren Wissing Ma

Lauren Wissing, MA, SHRM-SCP has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Human Resources at the National Underground Group, where they provide strategic leadership in HR. Prior to this, Lauren held the position of Senior Vice President of Human Resources at the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South. They also worked at Tri-State Utilities as a Human Resources Manager and at Tidewater Community College as an Adjunct Faculty in Psychology. Lauren's extensive background in HR includes roles such as Assistant Director of Human Resources at Southeastern Virginia Training Center, Subject Area Coordinator/Full-time Faculty at Bryant & Stratton College, and Academic Assistant at Strayer University.

Lauren Wissing, MA, SHRM-SCP completed their education with a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Xavier University, which they pursued from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from East Tennessee State University, attending from 2004 to 2007.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Lauren Wissing has acquired several certifications. In July 2020, they became a SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM. Earlier in the same year, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI in August. In 2018, they became a True Colors International Certified Facilitator through True Colors International. Other certifications include Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from Riverwood Associates, earned in February 2022, American Heart Association Certified CPR/BLS and first-aid instructor, acquired in July 2017 from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, and Mental Health First Aid Instructor, obtained from Mental Health First Aid United States in June 2017.
