Amir Shafat

Amir Shafat currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at NUI Galway, where responsibilities include teaching medical students in the pre-clinical stage and conducting research in Gastroenterology and Diabetes since January 2011. Prior to this role, Amir Shafat held the position of Associate Professor with the American Diabetes Association from 2015 to 2016 and was a Lecturer at the University of Limerick from August 2002 to January 2011. Additional experience includes work as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from August 2000 to August 2002 and as a Research Assistant at the University of Sheffield from 1995 to 1999. Educational background includes a Matriculation in Biology from Blich, Ramat-Gan, Israel, completed between 1982 and 1986.
