Noel Carroll

Noel Carroll is an Associate Professor in Business Information Systems at the University of Galway since March 2023 and serves as the Founder of the Citizen Development Lab, established in September 2021. With extensive experience in academia, Noel held the position of Lecturer at the NUI Galway J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics from October 2018 to March 2023, focusing on Business Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Information Systems Management. As a SFI Funded Investigator at Lero, Noel contributes to large-scale transformation in financial technology services and innovation management within connected health. Previous roles include Research Fellow at ARCH, Post-Doctoral Researcher at Dublin City University, and various lecturing positions in information systems and knowledge management across institutions. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Limerick and multiple degrees in academic practice and business.
