David Lai

David Lai currently serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the National University of Singapore, where involvement includes membership on the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine International Council and directing surgical research and development since July 2014. Additionally, David co-founded and holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Aktivolabs, and serves as Co-Managing Partner at Camtech Ventures, both since July 2017. Previously, David was a Venture Partner at Venturecraft Group from March 2016 to December 2018. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours and a University Medal from the University of Sydney, as well as multiple Fellowships in surgery from esteemed institutions such as the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons in England and Edinburgh. Further education was undertaken at prestigious institutions including Stanford University School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Toronto.
