John Phillip

John Phillip is an experienced professional in technology commercialization and startup incubation, currently serving as a Venture Architect at the National University of Singapore since July 2015. Previously, John founded and acted as Managing Director for DocuBuzz Pte. Ltd. from June 2010 to June 2015, and held roles as Managing Partner at GonzoBuzz LLP and a Member of the Governing Board at TUV Rheinland (S). Additionally, John was a Senior Associate at INSEAD InnovAsia and worked in various capacities at the Singapore Economic Development Board and SensFab. John began a career in semiconductor manufacturing as a Senior Engineer at Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing. Academic qualifications include an MBA from the National University of Singapore, a Master of Engineering in Applied Physics from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Syracuse University.
