Peichen Zhong

Peichen Zhong currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore, starting in July 2025. Previously, Peichen held positions as a BIDMaP Research Fellow at UC Berkeley and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Berkeley Lab, focusing on computational chemistry and atomistic simulations for solid-state materials. Academic experience includes a Graduate Student Researcher role at the University of California, Berkeley, where Peichen specialized in computational modeling for lithium-ion batteries and multiple methods for complex materials modeling. Additional roles include a Research Assistantship at The University of Hong Kong and teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China. Peichen holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
