Ibrahim Bechrouri

Ibrahim Bechrouri is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in criminology and related fields. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa since July 2025, Ibrahim specializes in surveillance and leads research efforts within the department of Criminology. Prior to this, significant roles included Senior Campaigner and Digital Campaigner at Ekō, as well as Adjunct Professor and Lecturer at John Jay College (CUNY), where instruction spanned multiple departments and programs. Ibrahim has also contributed as a Freelance Writer and Performer at Usbek & Rica, and assumed various roles in research and education, including positions at Center for Constitutional Rights and multiple European universities. With a robust academic background, highlighted by a PhD in Géopolitique from IFG -Institut Français de Géopolitique, Ibrahim's education includes prestigious experiences at Columbia University and other notable institutions.
