Kara Kuvakas

Kara Kuvakas, Ed.D., serves as the Associate Vice President for Academic Training at National University since December 2018, having held various leadership roles including Director of Online Teaching and Learning and Teaching and Learning Strategist. In addition to this position, Kara has been an Educational Consultant at K2ED Consulting since 2014, focusing on training and professional development for higher education institutions in Southern California. Formerly an adjunct professor at Brandman University and several other colleges, Kara has developed and taught multiple online and face-to-face courses in environmental science, geology, and geography. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University, a Master of Environmental Science and Management from UC Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor's Degree in Geology/Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
