Jonathan Sorg is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in wildlife management and environmental science. Currently serving as the Wildlife Federal Aid Coordinator at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources since May 2012, Jonathan manages approximately $15 million in federal grants annually, focusing on NEPA, NHPA, and ESA compliance. Additionally, Jonathan is a Pro Staff member for Mossy Oak, conducting outreach and educational events, including turkey hunting seminars. As the Union County Chapter President for the National Wild Turkey Federation since July 2007, Jonathan plays a key role in promoting conservation efforts. Previous roles include Environmental Scientist at ZEC and Mitigation Supervisor at Ohio EMA, as well as Environmental Specialist for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Jonathan holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Applied Ecology from Miami University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Mathematics from Wilmington College.
