Barrett Rosser

Teacher Consultant at National Writing Project

Barrett Rosser, Ed.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Practitioner Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on how secondary English Language Arts teachers learn to facilitate digital discourse. Barrett also coordinates the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the Southeastern Region of Pennsylvania and serves as a Teacher Consultant for both the Philadelphia Writing Project and the National Writing Project. As a SEED Leader, Barrett leads cohorts of educators in seminars aimed at promoting equity and diversity within educational settings. Previous roles include Middle School Literacy Teacher at Penn Alexander School, Adjunct Literature Content Professor at Relay Graduate School of Education, and Literature Teacher Leader at Mastery Charter Schools. Barrett holds a Doctor of Education in Reading/Writing/Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania and has degrees in Educational Leadership Management and Policy from Seton Hall University, and English/Language Arts Teacher Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
