Rebekka Dieterich-Hartwell

Rebekka Dieterich-Hartwell is a dance/movement therapist in Philadelphia and has over 16 years of clinical experience with adults with acute and chronic mental illnesses, substance abuse issues, eating disorders, and psychological trauma. Her research interests are threefold: in the area of psychological trauma with a specific focus on the neurobiological effects of PTSD; in the connection between music and movement and the selection process of music for dance/movement therapy sessions with different populations; and in using dance and movement as a resource for refugees, asylees, and immigrants.
