Carina Rech is a seasoned curator with a focus on 19th-century art, currently serving as the Curator and Intendent for 19th-Century Paintings, Drawings, and Prints at Nationalmuseum in Sweden since June 2022. Previous experience includes curatorial roles at Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde and positions as a PhD candidate and museum educator. Carina holds a PhD in Art History from Stockholm University, alongside a Master’s degree from Freie Universität Berlin and a Bachelor’s from Heidelberg University. Notable curatorial projects include exhibitions on Harriet Backer and Hanna Pauli, as well as contributions to significant exhibitions on Nordic art.
