Community Outreach Director at Nation's Finest

Mckinzie Burrows has a diverse work experience. Mckinzie started their career at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo as a Development Intern and Grant Writer. In this role, they conducted research, collaborated on grant proposals, and organized information for reporting purposes.

Mckinzie then moved on to the Obesity Action Coalition, where they held multiple positions. As a Creative Content and Outreach Coordinator, they managed member-based communication platforms and worked to enhance connectivity among members. Later, as a Community Outreach Engagement Specialist, they focused on communication and educational content to promote the growth and sustainability of the organization.

While at the Obesity Action Coalition, Mckinzie also served as the Editor of Weight Matters Magazine, a popular educational resource covering topics related to weight and health. Mckinzie continued in a contract position after transitioning to their role at Nation's Finest and resumed as the magazine's Editor part-time.

Currently, Mckinzie is working at Nation's Finest as a Digital Communications Manager. Recently, they have been assigned the role of Community Outreach Director to further contribute to the organization's outreach efforts.

McKinzie Burrows received their Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of South Florida. Mckinzie attended the university from 2012 to 2016 and achieved a GPA of 4.0 during their studies. In addition to their degree, McKinzie Burrows has obtained certifications in SEO and Social Media Marketing from the HubSpot Academy. Mckinzie received the SEO certification in October 2022 and the Social Media Marketing certification in September 2022.
