Ajith Akmeemana

Ajith Akmeemana is the current Chief Financial Officer at Nations Trust Bank PLC. Ajith has over 18 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

Akmeemana started their career at Ernst & Young in December 2000, where they worked in the Assurance Services department for two years. Ajith then joined Public Bank as Head of Finance in December 2002 and stayed with the company for three years.

In January 2006, Akmeemana joined Bank of Maldives Plc as their Chief Financial Officer. Ajith remained with the company for three years before joining Nations Trust Bank PLC in February 2009.

Ajith Akmeemana completed a Master of Business Administration at The University of Manchester. Ajith is also a FCA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and an AIB from The Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka.

Ajith Akmeemana reports to Hemantha Gunetilleke, Director & CEO. Ajith Akmeemana works with Arosha Liyanaarachchi - SVP, Commercial Banking, Niluka Gunatilake - SVP, Cards & Consumer Assets, and Chamila Sumathiratne - Chief Risk Officer.
