Kaylah Pitts is an undergraduate neuroscience researcher at Nationwide Children's Hospital since November 2022, focused on the impact of early childhood seizures on adult neurodegenerative diseases through animal studies. Kaylah gained experience as a Global Compliant Intern at Roche, where observation and teamwork were essential in addressing diabetes care issues. Prior roles include shadowing at Metropolitan Family Care Inc, analyzing patient profiles and taking vitals; serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, investigating early paternal deprivation's effects on neuroplasticity; interning at Marion County Health Department, where support was provided for Covid-19 testing and vaccination initiatives; and shadowing at Geist Center Eczema, Allergy, and Immunology, gaining insights into chronic asthma symptoms and allergy testing. Kaylah is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at The Ohio State University, expected to graduate in May 2025.
