Melvis Houseman

Melvis Houseman is an experienced legal professional specializing in multifamily real estate matters, including joint venture formation, acquisitions and dispositions, financing, and development. Currently serving as Counsel at Nationwide Realty Investors since August 2023, Melvis has previously held the positions of Senior Counsel and Transactional Counsel at Washington Prime Group Inc. from February 2018 to July 2023. Prior experience includes working as an Associate at JONES DAY® from September 2014 to February 2018, where an initial role as a Summer Associate took place in May to July 2013. Melvis began a career in the public sector as a Building Project Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the Building Official for the City of Doral from April 2006 to June 2011. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Law (JD) from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Florida International University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Florida.
