Tom Shields

Tom Shields has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles related to marketing, management, and sports development. Tom is currently the Marketing Director at Nationwide Trailers, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director at Riding Racing Youth Development (RRYD) from 2010 to the present, where they worked as an athletic agent, negotiating contracts for motocross athletes and planning their careers for better exposure.

From 2017 to 2020, Tom worked as the Managing Director for the Ryan Villopoto Amateur Motocross Cup (RV Cup), organizing and overseeing the annual event. Tom also served as the Marketing Director at Freestone County Raceway from 2005 to 2017, where they managed various executive roles and was responsible for sponsorships, negotiations, event planning, and logistics.

Tom's early career included roles as a Congress Delegate at the American Motorcyclist Association from 2007 to 2014, and as the Parts Manager, Sales Consultant, and Race Team Manager at Houston Motorsports from 1999 to 2010, where they developed a successful race team and doubled parts sales within six months. Tom also served as the Director of Operations at RPM / WERA from 1999 to 2001, overseeing the development of Roadracing Performance Motorcyclists (RPM) in the South Central US.

Tom Shields attended Fayetteville State University from 1985 to 1987, studying Communication, General. Tom did not obtain a degree during this time.
