Josh Gold is a Senior Strategic Cyber Threat Analyst at NATO, where assessments of various cyber threats are produced. Previously, Josh served as a Research Analyst and Project Lead for the Government of Canada, leading teams to conduct detailed research on sensitive government activities, which informed Cabinet Ministers with findings and recommendations. Prior experiences include roles as a Non-Resident Visiting Scholar at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, a Research Assistant at Citizen Lab, and a Cyber Threat Analyst at CyberCube. Josh's educational background includes a B.A. (Hons.) in Peace & Conflict Studies and European Studies from the University of Toronto, an ongoing Undergraduate Certificate in Applied Cybersecurity from the SANS Technology Institute, participation in Stanford University's Hoover Institution Summer Policy Bootcamp, and various other academic experiences related to conflict resolution and international law.
