Alan Lugo has extensive work experience in product strategy, product line management, product sustainability, brand materials and color management, product development, and footwear design. Alan began their career in 2006 as an Industrial Design Intern at EDGE Product Development. In 2007, they joined Wolverine Worldwide, where they held several roles, including Senior Product Line Manager, Product Sustainability Manager, Brand Materials and Color Manager for Merrell, Product Development Manager for Active Lifestyle at Merrell, Global Footwear Designer and Developer for Hush Puppies, and Design Associate and Design Intern for Hush Puppies. In 2011, they began teaching Footwear Design Classes at Kendall College of Art & Design. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Natural Fiber Welding as a Product Strategy Manager.
Alan Lugo obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Design from Western Michigan University between 2004 and 2007. Prior to that, they attended College for Creative Studies, where they earned an Industrial Design degree in Product Design between 2001 and 2002.
