Brent Baker

Brent Baker began their career in 2013 as a Social Services Intern at SHARON HEALTHCARE LIMITED. In the same year, they became an AmeriCorps Program Specialist at the Peoria Housing Authority. From 2015 to 2020, they held various roles at the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, including Director of Workforce Solutions, Greater Peoria Pathways Co-Director, and Pathways to Prosperity Coordinator. In 2020, they became the New Business Development Manager - MIRUM\u00ae at Natural Fiber Welding. In this role, they work to reduce the use of petrochemical-based plastics in the textile industry by relying on renewable resources and natural waste instead of animal hide or petroleum.

Brent Baker attended Bradley University from 2011 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Prior to that, they attended Illinois Central College from 2008 to 2011, where they earned an Associate of Science in Psychology.
