Michael Huang

Michael Huang is an experienced Economic Policy Analyst currently contributing to Natural Resources Canada's flagship publication, the Energy Fact Book, since May 2022. Michael has held various roles at NRCan, progressing from Junior Economic Policy Analyst in the Energy Systems Sector to responsibilities within the Canadian Forest Service. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Alberta while completing a Master of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics, and leadership as Chief Returning Officer for the Graduate Students’ Association. Michael's earlier positions feature work at Environment and Climate Change Canada as a Compliance Promotion Officer and roles in environmental education and research throughout academic tenure, supported by a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of Alberta.
