Paul Gaskin

Paul Gaskin serves as the Director General of the Planning, Operations and Information Branch at Natural Resources Canada since October 2018. Previously, Paul held various senior leadership roles at Fisheries and Oceans Canada from June 2006 to October 2018, including Director of Information Management, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing information management strategies and leading a national program with over 60 staff. Additional positions included Director of Priorities and Planning, Director of the Governance Secretariat, and Acting Director General of the Executive Secretariat. Earlier experience includes roles at the Privy Council Office, Transport Canada, and Foreign Affairs and International Trade, with a focus on policy analysis and advice. Paul holds multiple degrees, including a MA in Public Policy and Administration, a MA in Political Science, and a Certificate in Public Sector Leadership and Governance.
