Resource Soil Scientist at Natural Resources Conservation Service

Marissa Theve is a Resource Soil Scientist with extensive experience in soil science and environmental conservation. Currently employed at the Natural Resources Conservation Service since March 2023, Marissa previously served as a Soil Scientist with the DOI - Bureau of Land Management from September 2016 to March 2023, where responsibilities included authoring National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) soil reports, managing databases, and providing interdisciplinary support for timber sales and ecological restoration projects. Earlier roles include soil mapping and technical services with the Natural Resources Conservation Service and research assistance at the University of Connecticut and the University of Rhode Island. Marissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science & Management from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Science in Natural Resources and the Environment from the University of Connecticut.
