Addison Wingate

Addison Wingate has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Their most recent position was with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) as a Media Assistant, starting in March 2023. Prior to that, from May 2020 to August 2022, they worked at the Semel Healthy Campus Initiative Center at UCLA as a BEWell Pod Research Assistant, where they conducted research and collected data on the impacts of built environments on the UCLA campus. They also served as a communications liaison for extreme heat mitigation efforts.

From August 2021 to July 2022, Addison worked at TreePeople as a Communications and Forestry Intern. In this role, they were involved in marketing projects and provided general support to the forestry and restoration teams.

In 2020, Addison worked as a Legal Assistant at Hadsell Stormer Renick & Dai LLP from June to October.

Their work experience also includes a position as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, where they extracted and analyzed data on sex trafficking and abuse from youth court records. They also planned and organized a direct-intervention program for sex trafficking victims within the foster care system, working with youth under the jurisdiction of the LA county court systems.

Addison Wingate completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at UCLA from 2018 to 2022. During their time at the university, Addison studied Public Affairs as well as Spanish Language, earning a Bachelor of Arts in both fields of study.
