Amy McNamara is an accomplished conservation professional with extensive experience in nonprofit management and program development. Currently serving as the Northern Rockies Director at the Natural Resources Defense Council since April 2019, McNamara has previously held key positions at The Trust for Public Land, where as Community Futures Program Manager, responsibilities included coordinating a program to expand services to rural communities. Prior roles include Principal at McNamara Consulting, Inc., and Program Associate at Wilburforce Foundation, where McNamara managed grant strategies and shaped conservation initiatives across multiple regions. Experience also encompasses leadership positions at Greater Yellowstone Coalition and Appalachian Mountain Club, focusing on advocacy and conservation strategies. McNamara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Colgate University and a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Louisville.
