Manuela Tauscher has a diverse range of work experience. Manuela started their career at Turning Green in 2015 as an intern, where they actively participated in a campaign against glyphosate and assisted in hosting community meetings. Manuela also played a key role in organizing and writing challenges for Project Green Challenge (PGC), an environmental competition.
In 2016, they joined the Sustainability Office as a Sustainable Food Intern at Skidmore College. Manuela'sresponsibilities included tracking and creating expense reports for sustainable food purchases by Skidmore Dining Services. Manuela also conducted independent research to identify seasonal produce that could be purchased within 250 miles of the school, supporting the school's goal of 25% sustainable food in Dining Services by 2025.
Following this, in 2017, Manuela became the Compost Manager at Skidmore College. In this role, they collected, weighed, and recorded approximately 500 pounds of compost per week, recruited volunteers, hosted work parties, and distributed surveys to improve the college's compost program.
Since 2018, they have been working at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Manuela'sroles include Development Assistant, Major Gifts and Development Assistant to the National Directors of Development. More recently, they have been serving as a Prospect Researcher. Manuela Tauscher started their education at Columbia High School from 2009 to 2013. Manuela then went on to attend Skidmore College from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies.
