Thom Shannon

Thom Shannon is currently the Senior Report & Project Coordinator at NatureMetrics since May 2021. Prior to this, Thom worked as an Assistant Ecologist at Wild Frontier Ecology Ltd from March 2016 to October 2017. Their experience also includes being a Residential Volunteer Ranger at National Trust for a few months in 2014. Thom has a background in ecology, with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Aberdeen and a Master's Degree from Queen's University Belfast. They are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Genetics at the University of Aberdeen. Throughout their career, Thom has also worked as a Wildlife Explorers Group Leader at RSPB and as a Reserve Volunteer at WWT. Additionally, they have experience as a Roadshow Assistant for BBC Live 'n' Deadly Roadshow.
