Luca Saponari

Luca Saponari is a Senior Science and Technical in-Field Officer at Nature Seychelles and the Co-Founder, Scientific and Program Director at The Oceancy. With a background in marine biology and ecology, Luca has extensive experience as a PhD researcher and resident marine biologist, focusing on coral conservation projects and marine research. Additionally, Luca has worked as a lecturer, field assistant, and Erasmus Placement, showcasing a well-rounded background in environmental science and research. Luca holds a PhD in Biology and Biotechnology, a Master's degree in Marine Biology, and a Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Biodiversity.
